Charges against ex president Fernandez to be heard Friday

Santo Domingo.- National District prosecutor Yenni Berenice Reynoso on Tuesday announced a hearing on the money laundering and malfeasance charges filed by the former presidential candidate Guillermo Moreno against former president and Funglode foundation founder Leonel Fernandez.

Speaking in the Channel 11 program El Dia, Reynoso said the hearing slated for Friday is only for the parts, citing Fernandez’s immunity as a member of the regional legislative body, Parlacen.

She said if the accused invokes jurisdictional privilege, the complaint would then go to the Supreme Court.
