Fernandez welcomes foreign officials in hemispheric conclave

Santo Domingo.- President Leonel Fernandez welcomed a delegation of ambassadors, foreign relations and economy ministers of the United States, Colombia, Costa Rica, Guatemala and Trinidad & Tobago in the National Palace on Wednesday.

Among the visitors figure Mathew Rooney, State Department deputy secretary for the Western Hemisphere; Carmen Lomellin, United States ambassador in the Organization of American States (OAS); Haroldo Rhodes, minister of Foreign Relations of Guatemala and Mayi Antillon, Minister of the Economy of Costa Rica.

The members of the delegation participate as representatives of their respective countries in the 5th Ministerial Meeting “Pathways to Prosperity in the Americas,” taking place in the Foreign Relations Ministry.
