Downpours, high temps for much of the country

Santo Domingo.- The National Meteorology Office (Onamet) forecasts downpours and high temperatures for much of the country today, from the humidity of a trough over the territory.

It said the rains and thunderstorms will be more intense Thursday afternoon over the Caribbean Coast, Northeast, San Juan valley and the Neiba range, but tapering off after nightfall.

Onamet said the downpours will continue Friday and into the afternoon over the interior, the South, and Southwest, with scattered showers Saturday.
