Showers, high temps and humidity continue

Santo Domingo.- A low pressure system located next to the eastern portion of Cuba and the humidity from the prevailing East-Southeast wind will bring heavy showers during the next 24 to 48 hours, the National Meteorology Office (Onamet) forecasts Tuesday.

It said starting Wednesday the rains will be more frequent from a tropical wave approaching the Lesser Antilles, which moves west.

Onamet also forecasts scattered showers and thunderstorms mostly in the southwest, Central Mountains and border zone, and higher temperatures nationwide, ranging from 22 to 34 degrees Celsius.
