Ruling party veterans get an earful for bickering

Santo Domingo.- The ruling PLD party’s top echelon, the Political Committee, on Tuesday admonished its members who’ve been publicly bickering over internal issues.

"I want to call attention on such publicly elucidated situations," said PLD general secretary Reinaldo Pared at the end of the meeting Tuesday night held in the PLD Presidential Office, in the sector of Gazcue.

Pared affirmed that "everything was properly cleared" regarding the heated public dispute between PLD veterans Franklin Almeyda, Felix Jimenez, Jaime David Fernandez and Carlos Amarante.

He said the Political Committee agreed to meet every two weeks to discuss political issues and prevent its members from disputes outside the organization.
