Dominican leader arrives in Caracas for Maduro’s inaugural

Caracas.- President Danilo Medina arrived in Venezuela Friday morning to attend president-elect Nicolas Maduro’s inaugural and was received by Industry minister Ricardo Menendez in Caracas’s Maiquetía Airport.

The Dominican president left the country via Higüero Airport at 6:30am on a private flight, accompanied by Presidency chief of staff Gustavo Montalvo, Administrative ministers José Ramón Peralta, and of Foreign Affairs Carlos Morales, and senator Julio Cesar Valentin.

Maduro is slated to take the oath at the National Assembly, at 1pm in Caracas.
