Scattered showers to continue

Santo Domingo.- Weather conditions over Dominican territory will continue without important changes, but the National Meteorology Office (Onamet) forecasts some increasing cloudiness Tuesday afternoon with scattered showers and thunderstorms in the Southeast, Central Mountains and border zone.

It said the precipitations will be the result of local convection together with the prevailing east wind, which will drag abundant humidity.

Onamet said that the tropical wave located in the Caribbean Sea southwest of the country could increase the chance for showers and thunderstorms.

It added that Greater Santo Domingo can expect partly cloudy skies with scattered showers of short duration and thunderstorms in the afternoon.
