Scattered showers, thunderstorms again nationwide again

SANTO DOMINGO. – For the 5th straight say, the National Meteorology Office (ONAMET) for Monday forecasts scattered showers and thunderstorms in the North, Northeast, Southeast, Central Mountains and the border zone.

It said there’ll be increasing cloudiness form humidity dragged by the prevailing east wind, combined with local effects.

ONAMET also informs that it watches a zone of heavy showers and electrical storms associated to a low pressure system located near the Lesser Antilles, though the National Hurricane Center says it has low possibility (10%) of reaching tropical storm category in the next 48 hours.
