Widely scattered showers to continue

SANTO DOMINGO. – The National Meteorology Office (ONAMET) forecasts widely scattered showers sometimes heavy in some zones for Thursday, associated with a low pressure system over the west-central Caribbean Sea, moving west at 20 kilometers per hour.

It said a nearly stationary frontal system is now near the Atlantic coast, which can bring precipitations mostly towards the southern and southwest coast.

Onamet adds that local effects and prevailing wind could bring some showers to the Central Mountains, the Eastern, Northern, Cibao Valley and border zones, especially in the afternoon.
