Flash flood warnings for eastern, central provinces

Santo Domingo.- The Emergency Operations Center (COE) continues flash flood and mudslide warnings for Monseñor Noel, San Pedro, Hato Mayor and El Seibo provinces, where rivers are expected to swell.

Meanwhile the National Meteorology Office (Onamet) forecasts scattered showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon mostly for the Northeast, Southeast, Southwest, Central Mountains and border area.

It said an approaching trough and a tropical wave will bring downpours over a large part of the country by Wednesday.
