Ceremony marks the first Constitution’s 167th anniversary

San Cristóbal, Dominican Republic. To the march of drums and with various commemorative activities, the National Patriotic Events Commission yesterday celebrated the 167th anniversary of the signing of the Dominican Constitution in San Cristóbal, on November 6, 1844.

The ceremonies began around 6am when the municipal band struck up the National Anthem and marched along several streets of the city, before the hoisting of the flag at November 6 Park at 8am.
