Duarte highway lanes closed next week, detours announced

SANTO DOMINGO. – The Public Works Ministry will close the Duarte highway’s southbound lanes between the 13 and 15 kilometer markers starting Monday, as part of the overpass being built at the intersection with Monumental Av.

The closing will be from 8pm to 5am during November, except Saturdays and Sunday. The measure will make it easier for the contractor to install the beams of the overpass, located at the entrance to the cemetery.

Traffic along the northbound lanes will continue normal, while the detours for southbound lanes include a right turn at the 27 de Febrero overpass, to continue on that major avenue into the city.
