Police launch anti-violence campaign; Adventists’ vigil against murders

Santo Domingo.- “Say no to violence. The harmony in the difference is peace,” is the name of the campaign launched by the National Police Tuesday morning, tp create awareness among the Dominican population to prevent crimes and violence.

The media campaign aims sensitize the population on the need for tolerance and respect for others as a way to avoid regrettable incidents.

In a related development, the church of the Seventh Day Adventist staged a candlelight vigil against the high number of homicides of women, which statistics affirm top 170 deaths just this year.

The demonstration was carried out in the Venezuela Avenue park, in Santo Domingo East.
