Scattered showers mostly for the north

Santo Domingo.- A trough north of the country will bring scattered showers with thunderstorms in some parts of the northwest, north, northeast and central mountains mostly in the afternoon.

Temperatures meanwhile will continue seasonably warm in the early hours of Saturday, the National Weather Office forescast today.

It said the rains will be mostly for the north and northeast coast during the next 24 to 48 hours, as a result of the trough north of the island.

Higher than normal waves along the Atlantic coast mean small craft advisory near the coast, but ONAMET says the situation will start to improve starting tomorrow.
