Agents arrest drug pushers in beach town raids

Boca Chica, Dominican Republic.- Drugs Control (DNCD) agents conducted raids to nab drug dealers in the communities Andres and La Caleta, with at least 15 suspects arrested, after residents complained of rampant drug trafficking and related street crimes.

DNCD Santo Domingo East Division said agents arrested five people and seized hundreds of portions of cocaine, marijuana and crack, weights, motorcycles, cell phones, two-way radio sets and cash, from drug sales.

The DNCD added that the raids busted the narcotics sale points belonging to the alleged pushers known as “Wiro,” “El Menor,” “Jose la Ceiba,” “Los Sanjuaneros,” “La Boina” and “Bolivita.”
