Scattered showers, partly cloudy Friday and Saturday

Santo Domingo.- Dominican territory will continue under the effects of the prevailing east-northeast wind, which will drag cloudiness and sporadic showers today and possibly Saturday.

According to the National Office of Meteorology (ONAMET), the north, northeast, and southeast regions and the Central Mountains can expect scattered showers and thunderstorms Friday afternoon and early evening.

It also forecasts marine conditions with higher than normal waves and strong winds will continue along the country’s Atlantic coast, and cautions small craft to remain in port, and sail with caution within Samaná Bay.
