Milton Morrison is elected vice president of the Copppal

Mexico City.- Milton Morrison, the President of the Possible Country Party (PPP) in the Dominican Republic, has been elected Vice President of the Permanent Conference of Political Parties of Latin America and the Caribbean (COPPPAL).

Morrison took the oath of office during the 41st Plenary Assembly in Mexico City, administered by COPPPAL President Alejandro Moreno. The event was attended by Executive Secretary Sofía Carvajal, Jorge Córdoba García, and representatives of political parties affiliated with COPPPAL.

Following the swearing-in ceremony, Moreno tweeted that Morrison’s experience and capabilities will strengthen COPPPAL’s work throughout Latin America and the Caribbean.

Milton Morrison expressed his gratitude for Alejandro Moreno’s contributions to strengthening democracy and uniting progressive parties in the region. He also acknowledged the contributions of Dominican Ambassador Fausto Liz, who serves as COPPPAL Vice President for the Caribbean, for his years of dedication to regional integration.

During the 41st COPPPAL assembly, a youth meeting was held, during which Dr. Richel García, the Youth Secretary of the Possible Country Party (PPP), was elected Vice President for the Caribbean.

COPPPAL is the most prominent forum for political parties in Latin America and the Caribbean, currently bringing together 72 progressive parties from 30 countries across the continent.

Founded in 1979 in Mexico City, COPPPAL was established by political leaders including Gustavo Carvajal Moreno from Mexico and José Francisco Peña Gómez from the Dominican Republic, among others.
