Medina wants classrooms ready by December 31

Santo Domingo.– President Danilo Medina announced the delivery of the remaining lots to build schools nationwide, as well as a credit line of RD$11 billion in the Reserve Bank.

Medina said the credit is equivalent to 50% of the remainder to each project in terms of scaling and measurement. He also urged the engineering professionals to hasten the pace and intensify the work in order to achieve the goal by December 31.

"We will ensure resources for the building of schools not to stop," he said in a 15-minute-long meeting that took place at noon Friday at the National Palace, which was attended by over 900 contractors paid to build the classrooms and schools.
