SUV rams into fans celebrating basketball win, several dead(Update)

Santo Domingo.- Several people were reportedly killed in a traffic accident near San Francisco (northeast) Wednesday night as revelers celebrated the local team’s winning the national basketball championship.

The incident occurred when the driver of an SUV lost control and rammed into a crowd waiting for the winning team Los Indios, at the Duarte highway exit to that city.

Social networks identified three of the victims as Skive Gallardo, Victor Manuel Taveras Vargas and Juan Gustavo Landron, while at least eight others are reportedly injured, some seriously.
