Dominican Republic flights canceled as snowstorm slams eastern US

Santo Domingo.- Around 10 flights to and from New York and Boston were canceled in Dominican Republic Friday, as a snow storm hammers eastern United States.

The flights affected include those at Las Americas International Airport (Aila); six are JetBlue from New York and two to Boston, the carrier said in a press release.

Delta Airlines also canceled two flights from New York, while United maintains their scheduled flights 1470 and 1473 to Newark, New Jersey.

Thus far the flights at Puerto Plata and Samana international airports are on schedule.
