‘Renowned’ drug trafficker nabbed in Colombia on murders

Santo Domingo.- National Police chief ManuelCastro on Tuesday announced the arrest in Colombia of Salomon Arias (Piky) analleged drug trafficker wanted in the murder of alleged hired killer Juan FelixCordero Febles (Copelin), Edgar Rijo Astacio (Maestrico) and others.

The official said Interpol agents made the arrestin coordination with Colombian authorities, who are expected to return thesuspect to Dominican Republic. "He’s a renowned drug trafficker of the country’seastern region where he was involved in several crimes."

Castro called Arias a lieutenant of Copelin’s, whowas killed and his body found in a cane field near the southern town of SanCristobal.
