Ruling party taps new members to its Central Committee

Santo Domingo.- Vice president Margarita Cedeño, Administrative minister Jose Ramon Peralta, and Industry and Commerce minister José de el Castillo figure among the first leaders selected by the Political Committee of Dominican Republic’s ruling PLD party on Thursday, as new members of its Central Committee.

Also elected were Gedeón Santos,head of the Telecom regulator (Indotel), and ambassador to France, Rosa Hernández.

In addition, Enrique Ramírez Paniagua manager of the State-owned bank Reservas, long-distance swimmer and Sports vice minister, Marcos Díaz, the journalist Luis García and Donald Guerrero, business leader and friend of president Danilo Medina.
