Medina appoints commission to celebrate Restoration

Santo Domingo.– President Danilo Medina appointed a committee to work on the sesquicentennial anniversary commemoration of the Restoration of Independence on 16 August, to be held in Santiago de los Caballeros.

The commission is composed of Presidency chief of staff Gustavo Montalvo, Presidency’s Administrative minister José Ramón Peralta, Armed Forces minister Admiral Siegfredo Pared, and Education minister Josefina Pimentel, as well as Patriotic Dates Commission (CPEP) president Juan Daniel Balcácer, among others.
