Showers continue, flash flood warning for east-central

Santo Domingo.- The National Meteorology Office (Onamet) forecasts continuing showers and thunderstorms over the Northeast, Southeast, Southwest, Central Mountains and border area.

“A tropical wave will approach our area with increased showers for the Northeast, Southeast and Southwest of the country for the next 24 to 48 hours," Onamet said

It said the low pressure system over the western Caribbean has a low probability of becoming a tropical cyclone in the next 48 hours, adding that flash flood and mudslide warnings have been issued for La Vega, Monseñor Noel, Sanchez Ramirez, Duarte, Monte Plata and Hato Mayor.
