Scattered showers, thunderstorms across the country

Santo Domingo.- Scattered showers, thunderstorms and wind gusts are forecast across the country today, mainly in the North, Northeast, Southeast, Central Mountains and border area, from a tropical wave over the east region, moving west and trough over Cuba, combined with the prevailing east wind.

The National Meteorology Office (Onamet) also forecasts higher than normal waves along the Caribbean coast, for which small craft should remain near the coast, while the Atlantic coast returns to normal.

Onamet said Greater Santo Domingo will be partly cloudy with widely scattered showers.
