Agents seize 165 bricks of drug at Haina port

Santo Domingo.- Antinarcotics (DNCD) agents seized Monday 165 bricks presumably cocaine or heroin early Monday, inside a container of Stoer Trader, in transit on a freighter from Colombia which docked at Haina Oriental port.

DNCD spokesman Darío Medrano, who didn’t provide details of the drug’s weight or of any detainees, said the contraband was hidden in seven bales camouflaged within the items inside the container.

He said that loading departed from Colombia, passed through Jamaica, with a final destination of United States, whose DEA is taking part in the investigation.

One brick weighs around one kilo.
