Weak tropical wave brings scattered showers

Santo Domingo.- A weak tropical wave in the Caribbean Sea located southeast of the country moving west at 24 KPH will pass south of Dominican territory, with increasing cloudiness and occasional showers along the south coast and some parts of the east region, the National Meteorology Office (Onamet) forecast Tuesday.

It said the prevailing easterly wind continues dragging humidity and combined with local effects will bring occasionally heavy scattered showers and thunderstorms Tuesday afternoon and evening, more frequent in the northwest, Cibao Valley and Central Mountains.

For Greater Santo Domingo Onamet forecasts scattered and sometimes heavy showers in afternoon and evening.
