Santo Domingo. – The Meteorology Office said a trough with a low pressure system extending from the southeastern Bahamas northward over the western Atlantic has resulted in the downpours since early Monday.
It said the northwest, northeast, southwest, southeast and the Central Mountains can expect intensive rains.
Meanwhile another wave moves toward the northwest, with a 10% or lower chance of becoming a tropical storm during the next 48 hours.
It adds that another low pressure is located on the Atlantic coast between Africa and the northeast coast of South America has a 10% probability of becoming a tropical cyclone during the next 48 hours.
