Presidential candidates address top industrialists

SANTO DOMINGO.- Presidential candidates Hipólito Mejía and Danilo Medina greeted each other Tuesday noon prior a gathering hosted by the Dominican Republic Industries Association (AIRD) in the Jaragua Hotel, where they spoke on various topics of interest for industrial development.

Both candidates shook hands and smiled to the flashes of dozens of press and television cameras, while AIRD president Ligia Bonetti de Valiente stood in the middle.

Medina arrived at 12:51pm and Mejía five minutes later at the event transmitted by several TV channels and radio stations of the Corripio Communications Group.
