Santo Domingo. – Monday’s 4.2 magnitude quake not only caused minor damages to schools, clinics and homes in the towns of Pimentel and Arenoso, near the city of San Francisco DM (northeast), but also showed that Dominicans are no longer terrified by tremors.

Three people were also injured, according to the Emergency Operations Center’s (COE) preliminary report.

The quake’s center was seven miles south of Las Guaranas, San Francisco, 24.4 kilometers deep at 10:02am, as reported by the US Geodetic Survey.
