Scattered showers Friday, increasing over the weekend

Santo Domingo.- The National Weather Office (ONAMET) forecasts scattered showers mostly over the mountains Friday, and increasing rainfall during the weekend from tropical wave approaching from the northwest.

It said the tropical wave associated with a frontal system will bring showers starting Saturday morning, mainly over the southeast, south central, southwest and Central Mountains, and downpours and lower temperatures on Sunday.

ONAMET adds that the possibility that the remnants of Tropical Depression of becoming stronger is low, during the next 24 to 48 hours.
