Downpours, thunderstorms Friday, again Monday

Santo Domingo.- The National Meteorology Office (ONAMET) forecasts downpours and thunderstorms Friday afternoon for the Northeast, Southeast and the Central Mountains.

It said a low pressure system over the country; together with local effects and the prevailing East-northeast wind will bring lower temperatures at night,

ONAMET adds that a tropical wave approaching the Lesser Antilles, moving West, with increase the probability of showers along the country’s Caribbean coast starting Monday.
