Canada, Dominican Labor ministers sign pact

San Salvador, El Salvador. – Dominican Republic Labor minister Francisco Dominguez and his Canada par Lisa Raitt announced the conclusion of talks on a labor agreement between the two countries.

Dominguez said the agreement shows the Dominican Government’s commitment to continue opening opportunities to improve the work quality and professionalization of local technicians and professionals. “It’s a great honor for Dominican Republic to conclude this agreement and once again confirms the country’s commitment to fulfill the norms related to a fair and decent job. We’re proud to share the common respect regarding labor principles.”

For her part Raitt stated Ottawa’s “commitment to maintain strong relations and continuous dialogue with our partner countries.”
