Scattered showers nationwide, high surf in north coast

SANTO DOMINGO.- Subtropical storm Sean formed in the Atlantic dawn Tuesday and affects marine conditions, with higher than waves normal along the North coast, where small craft are cautioned to remain near port.

The high surge also prompted the National Meteorology Office (ONAMET) to warn small craft in Samaná bay not to venture out to sea.

It forecasts partly cloudy skies with scattered often heavy showers accompanied by thunderstorms for the north, northeast and southeast regions and Central Mountains, from the prevailing northeast-east winds.
