Embattled Justice Minister gets a powerful boost

Santo Domingo.- Santiago’s most prominent lawyer Ramón Antonio (Negro) Veras on Thursday announced he’ll defend embattled Justice minister Francisco Domínguez, who yesterday was the target of a complaint filed in a National District court for allegedly taking part in political activities that are banned for that post.

In letter to Dominguez, Veras offers his unconditional support to join his defense team, if the accusers succeed in getting an indictment.

Veras expressed solidarity with Dominguez, and comes one day after the complaint filed by a group of attorneys headed by Ramon Pina, Carlos Balcácer, Pedro Duarte Canaan, Felix D. Olivares and Marino Elsevyf.
