Netherlands Navy patrol boat arrives for military exercise

Santo Domingo. – The Dominican Navy on Sunday received the patrol boat Jaguar P-810, of the Netherlands Antilles and Aruba Coast Guard with a crew of 13, who’ll take part in the military exercises “Vigilant Eyes 2011.”

Santo Domingo’s south coast will be the arena for the training exercise which will conclude Thursday, focused in air and sea search and rescue operations and against drug trafficking.

The Dominican Air Force planes will also take part, said Navy spokesman Antonio Cabral Fani, adding that the training aims to prepare personnel in joint marine interdiction operations.
