Troughs bring more downpours to much of the country

Santo Domingo.- The National Weather Office (Onamet) forecasts downpours with thunderstorms over much of the country, from a combination of two troughs.

It maintains flash flooding and mudslide advisories from swelled rivers in the north-central and northeastern provinces, with higher temperatures from the east-southeast wind.

Onamet adds that the surf along Atlantic coast is starting to return to normal, and advises small craft to remain near shore. “Sea conditions are expected to return to normal tomorrow."
