Scattered showers, high surf along Atlantic coast

Santo Domingo.- The National Meteorology Office forecasts increasing cloudiness, scattered showers and possible thunderstorms from two troughs, one south of the country and the other over eastern Cuba.

It said all regions can expect showers, except the Southwest, while temperatures will continue seasonably warm.

Meteorology also warns that higher than normal waves along the Atlantic coast will continue, from the remnants of Hurricane Sandy’s winds and cautions residents on coastal flooding in low lying areas, adding that small craft should remain in port.

It said rainfall is expected to increase Thursday.
