Six-vehicle pileup snarls East region traffic(Update)

Santo Domingo- A pile up involving six vehicles near the entrance to Caucedo Port Thursday morning has backed up traffic on the busy Las Americas Highway

Upon confirmed the reports, Metropolitan Transit Authority (AMET) spokesman Roberto Lebron said additional agents were sent to the area to restore traffic at Las Americas, the main road link between the capital and the East region.

According to reports posted on Twitter, there were no serious injuries in the pile up involving an SUV, two trucks and tree other vehicles.
