Downpours, high temps continue

Santo Domingo.- The downpours with thunderstorms will continue throughout the country Monday, mostly for the east and Caribbean coastal plain due, from a trough over the southern region.

The National Meteorology Office (Onamet) forecasts gradually increasing downpours in other parts of the country after midday, as the trough moves westward.

It also forecasts continuing showers Tuesday for the Central Mountain range, border area and parts of the central northern valley, from the moisture and instability left by the trough.

Onamet forecasts significantly fewer downpours throughout the country for mid-week, with temperatures as high as 35 degrees Celsius.
