“Mule” expels pure heroin

Santo Domingo.- The Antinarcotics Agency (DNCD) Tuesday said the drug being expelled by a 20 year old woman arrested at Las Americas International Airport (AILA) before boarding a flight to New York City, is pure heroin.

It said the first amount of the drug seized from Patricia Mabel Ricardo, before boarding JetBlue flight 882, was strapped to her abdomen in bags, and the capsules she had ingested are now being expelled in the Armed Forces Hospital.

The DNCD added that Ricardo has expelled seven bags thus far, of the “118 bags of heroin she had adhered to her body, which in the laboratory weighed exactly 230 kilos.”
