Scattered showers, thunderstorms Wednesday, Thursday

Santo Domingo.- The National Meteorology Office (ONAMET) forecasts scattered showers and thunderstorms Wednesday noon, from a nearly stationary trough over the central portion of the country.

The rains will affect all regions except the Northwest, and will continue Thursday.

It said the current east-northeast wind will bring seasonable temperatures during the day, but cooler at night.

ONAMET also cautions small craft to remain near shore along the Atlantic Coast, on higher than normal waves.
