Scattered showers, high temperatures continue

Santo Domingo.- The National Meteorology Office (Onamet) forecasts scattered showers and gusts of wind for the Northeast, Southeast, Southwest and Central Mountains on Tuesday, from a trough south of Puerto Rico and a tropical wave over Haiti.

It said the tropical wave moving westward will gradually extend the showers to other parts of the national territory.

A slightly unstable air mass will be over the country on Wednesday, when the showers will continue accompanied by thunderstorms, more frequent in the afternoon.

Onamet forecasts that the seasonably high temperatures will continue, and recommends that people drink plenty of fluids and wear light clothing.
