Accident on Bavaro highway claims five

Higuey, Dominican Republic.- Five people died 4 a.m. Sunday when the car they were in hit a bus full of hotel workers on the Veron-Bavaro highway, around 20 kilometers east of Higuey, La Altagracia province (east).

Of the victims only Ambiorix de Jesus Hernandez, driver of the vehicle, and Francis Mercedes Marmolejos have been identified thus far.

One of the other bodies is of a white man of around 30 years of age; one of the women is white and approximately 30 years of age, while the other is of dark skin.

The bodies were taken to the Higüey hospital morgue and thento the Nazaret & Avila funeral home.
