Flash flood warning issued for six provinces

Santo Domingo.- The Emergency Operations Center -COE- on Tuesday issued flash flooding, swelled rivers and landslide warning for six provinces, as downpours have drenched several regions in the last few hours.

According to Meteorology (Onamet), La Romana, San Pedro, Monte Plata, Monseñor Noel, La Vega and Santo Domingo provinces will be subject to flash flooding from heavy rains Tuesday, from a trough southeast of Punta Cana.

Onamet said the downpours will become more frequent towards Northeast, Southeast, Southwest Regions, Central Mountains and border area.
