National Police increase patrols nationwide

SANTO DOMINGO. – The National Police Thursday morning launched the Safe Christmas Plan 2011, to bolster citizen safety measures nationwide, as the Government and the private sector’s bonuses, 13th salary and normal wages pump more than 15 billion pesos into the economy.

There’ll be more Police patrols especially in the metropolitan zone and major provinces’ shopping areas, residential zones and nightlife districts.

The National Police said 17,000 agents will be drummed into service in the first stage, with large scale logistical support to confront any contingency, from today until January 7.
