Mostly clear skies, shore warnings for north coast

Santo Domingo.- The National Meteorology Office (Onamet) forecasts waves as high as eight feet and ever higher further from shore, along the Atlantic coast and the southern part of Samaná Bay.

It warns small craft to remain in port and coastal zone residents to be on the alert for possible flooding. It said swimmers must take precautions when using the beaches.

Onamet forecasts partly cloudy skies and scattered showers for the Cibao Valley, Central Mountains, the northern tier and the northeast for Monday morning, with mostly clear skies for the rest of the country.
