Watch your hat & coat (and luggage) at Dominican airports

Santo Domingo.- Dominicans returning to spend the holidays complain of delayed luggage and theft of items, mostly by passengers arriving from the US, Puerto Rico and Europe.

Many travelers at Las Americas Airport also accuse the airlines of overbooking flights and delays, especially from New York, Miami, Atlanta, Boston and San Juan.

The complaints have practically become a tradition in December, with the thousands of visiting Dominicans

Airports management company AERODOM recently said it expects the arrival of a record 300,000 Dominican vacationers this year.
