Antinarcotics agents seize 15 packages of drugs from Colombia

Santo Domingo.– The National Drugs Control Agency (DNCD) and various security agencies reported the confiscation of 15 packets of a substance, presumably cocaine, inside two backpacks discovered at Caucedo Port aboard a ship from Colombia and bound for Puerto Rico.

DNCD spokesman Dario Medrano said there is a man under investigation, but didn’t disclose his identities. He is an employee of a private security company that provides services in the port. Medrano said the two backpacks were seized aboard the ship Columbia.

The joint operation was carried out by the DNCD, the Public Ministry, and agents from DNI, J2, CESEP, and Customs.
