Over 3,000 cases attended by Emergency 9-1-1 during festivities

Santo Domingo.– The National Emergency Service and Safety System (911) reported Friday that the attention was increased by 62% over Christmas Eve and Christmas day with 3,645 cases.

According to Presidency deputy minister and 9-1-1- system spokesperson Zoraima Cuello, the system attended 1,236 emergencies from calls on 24th December, and 2,413 on 25th December, which represents an increase of 62% compared with the busiest day since its launch.

The official said that of the emergencies attended during Christmas Eve and Christmas day 743 cases involved traffic accidents, 505 physical assaults, 361 domestic violence, 297 people in danger and 293 in critical health conditions.
